I love languages since I was a kid and started learning English since I was in kindergarten. I have currently 4 years of experience as an Enlglish to Spanish translator and worked for 2 years in Traduality, a mexican translation agency that a university classmate of mine owns. We still have contact and whenever I am available he sends me technical translations from various fields (medical, legal, marketing, etc.)
I am a freelancer translator graduated in the Universidad Pontificia Comillas, Madrid, able to translate a large variety of documents and specialized in different fields, such as marketing, economics, law, tourism, audiovisual products, and literature. I have professional experience thanks to my internships in translation agencies like Altalingua (Madrid) or Global Voices (Stirling) where I could also learn about project management, formatting and allocation.

I am specialized in European Spanish, and I have excellent research skills and grammatically and stylistically impeccable translations.
Furthermore, I have experience translating video games and I have worked for Impetus, a Japanese localization company, translating games such as Tiny Metal (Sony Music Entertainment), BATTLLOON (Sony Music Entertainment), and a Japanese PvP collectible card mobile game. I also have experience translating articles for The New York Times Style Magazine: Spain, as well as the translation of a book trilogy titled Attack!, by Matt Alt and Hiroko Yoda. I am currently working as a proofreader/editor for Localsoft and as a translator for Gamelized and TranslateMedia.
Born in Romania, I moved to New Zealand with my family when I was 12. I picked up Spanish and French (by exposure) to go with my native Romanian. All my higher education, as well as the acquisition of my 3rd language, Japanese, was done through the medium of English. I began Japanese at high school (aged 13) and went on to pursue a Masters in the subject. Also, I have been living in Japan for over 5 years constantly improving my linguistic skills.

My personal interests veer more towards the Arts (music, literature, games, anime and manga) and my main experiences with translating for a company tend towards a more formal register. I came to Japan to continue my graduate studies on chemical engineering, and right now at the same time to establish a chemical research consultant practice, I’m also engaged as a private Spanish/English tutor and translator. I've been working in this area for about three and a half years now. My main language pair is English-Spanish, but lately, since I passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test N2 I've been able to start working with the Japanese-Spanish pairing too. I'm mostly focused on audiovisual translation, but I've also worked with business-related documentation like manuals, advertisements, etc.

I have worked for SEGA OF EUROPE as a Spanish Localisation QA in the project TOTAL WAR: ROME II,proofreading in-game texts and checking localised packaging to Spanish.I also tested titles as JUST DANCE RIO and CIVILIZATION REVOLUTION 2 for Localsoft (Málaga, Spain). About IT Skills, I have a good command of Windows and Microsoft Office (specially Word and Excel, my usual tools as a tester and as a translator).
