Hi, I`m currently an assistant project manager working in a gaming translation company located in Tokyo.
I have experience translating contents from Japanese and Chinese to English especially in video games and games promotional contents, and am extremely familiar and comfortable with the in-game jargons unique to each game’s contents, and am prepared to do my own research to translate and localize game contents so as to sound natural and native-like according to each region and country. Hi! My name is Keaton, and I've been working in Japanese-English translation and communication for 6 years. I started as a researcher on a Fulbright Fellowship in Economics in Japan, and moved on to working as a Production Manager at Capcom Japan in Osaka for nearly 4 years.
During that time, I managed teams around the world in both English and Japanese, ensuring smooth communication and accurate translations of important documents, instructions, and more, from technical materials to marketing to websites in a variety of tools, both commonly used and developed in-house. I also handled contract negotiations in both languages and interpreted meetings on a daily basis.
I have since been operating as a freelance translator for the last two years, with clients like Capcom, Polygon Pictures, Steamline Entertainment, and more. I specialize in technical and business materials, often containing highly sensitive information on a tight deadline.
I look forward to working with you!
