I've always dreamed about working in the Language field and since 2012, that dream came true. I have participated in many interesting projects and have taught over 200 students, both children and adults.
I still have little experience with translation, however I am right know doing a Master Degree in Translation, to better qualify myself. I already have done some translations for personal use or to help my friends but never as a professional. With the Master Degree I am confident enough to start calling myself a Translator and really hope to get to work a lot more in this professional area.
I am not only fluent in English, I also have a very advanced level in Japanese too (JLPT N2). I lived about 2 years in Japan to learn Japanese Language. Also worked for 1 year in an English School as an Instructor.
I do not have yet any experience in translating from Japanese, but I would love to work more with it, as it is my future goal to become a translator from JP-ENG/JP-PT.
I am portuguese but educated in an english school/ lived and worked in London for 6 years, so am completely bilingual and throughout my career have been constantly asked to translate from portuguese to english or vice-versa. My background is finance/ investment banking/ real estate capital markets - so I have the technical knowledge of specific terms in those areas too. Finally, I am a perfectionist, attention to detail, my eye goes straight to the only spelling or punctuation mistake in a 500 word text!
