My name is Fabio Di Fato, I am bilingual Italian/French, graduated with honors in Translation at the University of Torino. I have a relevant experience in this field, since it is several years I teach to individuals, employees and freelance professionals.
I worked also in Spain and Belgium, in contexts where the use of an L2 was required.
As said, I am bilingual, since I was born in Belgium, where I lived until the age of 10, and where I returned several times to refine my French skills with courses and work activities. I also participated to the Erasmus program in Spain, thanks to which I significantly improved my competences in Spanish language, also thanks to study and work activities.
I am able to translate in the following languages combinations: IT>FR, FR>IT, SP>IT, SP>FR.
Finally, during the two years of Master in Torino, I have been carrying out translations tasks as a freelance for several translation agencies (Globe, BigTranslation, Star, The World, Help srl, for which I translated for important companies such as Mitsubishi, BigBuy, MVM, Migoga, Reggia Di Venaria), companies (A.I.Chem chemicals, Migoga), individuals and translation websites (ProZ, Translator Café and so on).
I am specialized in technical and marketing translations, as they represent the massive part of the translation tasks I have been carrying out until now (in the sectors of industry, chemistry, entertainment products, household electrical appliances, electronics, handbooks, etc). However, I also do have significant competences for translations in the IT field and in literature (that represents my strongest interest, as demonstrated by the fact my Master thesis was a translation and comment of "Une Collection Trés Particuliére" by Bernard Quiriny).
I use SDL Trados Studios 2011 and I am available for a translation test.
Please note I do not have a personal VAT yet but it is up to come.
