My dream has always been learning as many languages as possible and travelling the world in order to practice them and get a better understanding of people and their fascinating foreign cultures. Now I can speak five foreign languages and in the last ten years I have gained significant translation experience. I have mostly translated for businesses (restaurants, hotels, etc.) and privates, and later on also for online newspapers, engineer studios, offices, and I have regularly exercised literary and poetical translation during my university studies. This year I have also started working for few translation agencies on a freelance and remote basis, my specialties are texts of: accounting, art, bureaucracy, civil engineering, contracts, documentary evidences, economics, gastronomy, geography, history, human resources, informatics, invoicing, labour right, linguistics, literature, marketing, mechanical engineering, music, newspaper articles, PR, psychology, social sciences, social networks, tourism.
Nevertheless I am also interested in widening my knowledge and enrich my vocabulary in other areas as well.
I have graduated in Cultural and Language Mediation in 2012 my main languages of study were German and Danish, but I have also attended classes of French, Spanish and Swedish (both language and translation).
I try my best to keep in touch with my languages, practising them with international friends, reading and watching movies. A little help comes also from my temporary job in the tourism industry that gives me the chance to meet every single day many travellers from several countries all over the world.
Apart from languages and travels I enjoy very much writing stories, poem and songs, which with time has enhanced my writing skills and style in my target language. I am also a confident computer user and have learned how to improve my translation skills using CAT Tools (Trados, Wordfast, OmegaT for now).
