We are currently recruiting for medical Khmer to English translations.
Some information for you:
For this work, the translator must be one of the following: US Citizen or a Green Card Holder/ US Permanent Resident, and the translator must reside in the United States.
We complete reference checks as part of our translation integration process, so we do need names and email addresses for 2-3 professional references for you.
We require all interested translators to complete a no-fee, small, sample test translation in the subject and/or language needed. Translators will have 24 hours from the time the test is sent to them, to email the completed test back to us. Tests not returned in the allotted time will not be accepted.
This work does require paperwork for a background investigation. This paperwork will be sent to the linguist once they have passed the new translator test. Please inform of us of any federal clearances, as it might lessen the number of forms you would need to fill out.
Translators must be able to legally work in the United States, and will need to complete Forms W-9 or W-8 when they are added to our Translator Database. These forms are used to establish the payee’s status for income tax withholding purposes. Translators will also need to sign our Independent Contractor agreement and Guidelines form at that time. These forms are also provided to the translator when he/she is added to our translator database.
Translators must be able to deliver files in Microsoft Word format (Google Docs may not be used for these translations).
