I'm moving to Bangkok!
I was searching for a place online, but after a lot of research and talking to some friends who have lived in Thailand, everybody told me the best way to find a place to live is to go around different apartment buildings in Thailand and ask if they have anything available. I was told many places just wouldn't be listed online, so I can't search from here, and a lot of these places won't have people who speak English. Also, if the person giving the apartment knows it's for a foreigner, they'll charge a higher price. I see no reason to pay extra just because I'm white.
That's where you come in. I'd like you do the search for me. So go around Bangkok and see if you can find a few apartments that are suitable for me (I'll let you know my criteria later). Take a quick video to show me the different places you find. Around 5 places should be fine. I'll choose my favourite, and then you do everything needed to get the place. Negotiate the price etc, and when it's time to sign the contract, I'll show up and sign and pay the deposit. Make sure you don't tell the landlord that it will be for a foreigner, if he asks anything just say it's for a friend.
