The integration pulls your documents from a specific Google Drive folder to Smartcat, either manually or automatically on a schedule. After setting up the integration, you’ll be able to use all of Smartcat’s features to manage your localization project, including the ability to translate content in a specialized editor, assign translators, and manage workflows.
Once the translation is complete, you can push the translated files back to your Google Drive with a button click or on a schedule.
1. Create a special folder where you will store the documents you want to translate.
2. Enter the folder URL in Smartcat.
3. Choose the languages to translate to and workflow settings (e.g. machine, human, or hybrid translation).
4. Wait for the sync to finish.
5. Translate the content using standard Smartcat features.
6. Sync the translated documents back with a button click.
You can also configure the integration to automatically push back translations after they are completed or even when partially done. This can be of assistance if you have a hybrid machine/human workflow and need prompt access to machine-translated content.
