Head of Vendor Management

The mission of the Head of Vendor Management is twofold: 1) build robust vendor management services; 2) form a team to handle fast-growing demand in the Smartcat marketplace. Your success is ultimately measured by the marketplace revenue Y2Y growth, which with us is no less than 200–400% yearly.
Meet quarterly plans on revenue generated by vendor management services.
Build a team of A+ players under your leadership (hiring, coaching, career pathing).
Handle customer SLAs and the most important internal metrics, such as the time from a customer request to the assignment of a job to a supplier, supplier/customer retentions, quality satisfaction, etc.
Effective collaboration with the folks in our sales, marketing and product teams to achieve quarterly revenue goals and other key metrics.
Take charge of our 250,000+ freelancer and LSP database, and help it grow into the world’s largest and most dynamic language specialists network.
3+ years of experience with outstanding measurable achievements as Head of Vendor Management or in a similar role in a translation company, recruiting or staffing firm, or service marketplace/talent management platform.
Excellent communication skills to navigate colleague, customer, and partner interactions. We operate in a niche global industry ($45 bln) where trust and good relations matter.

A clear, in-depth understanding of our product vision and strategy, as well as the ability to challenge and enhance it. We are building a market network for the global translation industry, something nobody has done before.
Ensure Smartcat’s vendor management department can fulfill hundreds of requests daily.
Proactively consolidate, improve and strengthen the freelancer database, and evaluate and track vendor performance.
Collaborate with our other sales, customer success, marketing, and product teams to improve vendor management services and processes.
A data-driven approach to business. You need to be ready to let the numbers speak for your success, and be on top of business analytics, forecasting, satisfaction surveys, and reporting.
Develop and implement new ideas to help achieve team and company-wide goals.
