Growth Product Manager

Location: Moscow, Russia

Smartcat’s goal is to develop the world’s best environment for translation and industry-specific payment automation and make it a vibrant network enabling easy collaboration for all market participants, including freelance linguists, translation agencies, and translation buyers.

Mission

The mission of the Growth Product Manager is to provide the highest possible activation rates for all Smartcat users, create a seamless onboarding experience and a smooth link between subproducts resulting in high paced organic growth across the entire Smartcat network. Your success will be measured by the annual growth rate of paying accounts (the goal being 300%) and increases in activation rates (for all users, including translators, LSPs and end customers, the goal being 100–200%).

Your outcomes

  • Increase activation rates by 100–200% over a 12-month period. In your first 3 months, increase activation rates at Smartcat by 25–30% (for corporate accounts).
  • Come up with a plan and a roadmap for creating a holistic and concise cross-product onboarding experience.
  • Lean roadmap management in your part of the platform to achieve the fastest possible user engagement.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience working as a product manager and a track record of outstanding achievements in this role.
  • Excellent management and communication skills to oversee colleague, customer, and partner interactions.
  • A clear, in-depth understanding of our product vision and strategy, as well as the ability to challenge and enhance it. We are building a market network for the global translation industry, something nobody has done before.
  • A data-driven approach to business. Ability to justify decisions using concrete metrics. Experience working with sales funnels.
  • Ability to think big and start small, meaning finding the easiest and fastest solutions to test hypotheses and get results.
  • Good understanding of UI/UX.
  • Hands-on experience in customer development.
  • Knowledge and experience of Agile practices and ability to work and run own scrum team.
  • Knowledge of modern product development frameworks (JTBD, DT, etc) will be a big plus.
