Account Executive (APAC)

Our team is passionate about building a product that improves the global industry of translation services. Smartcat’s goal is to develop the world’s best environment for translation and industry-specific payment automation. We want to create a vibrant network allowing easy collaboration among all market participants, including freelance linguists, translation agencies, and translation buyers.
Smartcat is backed by Matrix Partners, a top US venture capital firm focusing on SaaS and marketplace start-ups (their portfolio includes: HubSpot, Oculus, Zendesk, and Quora).
This is initially a contract position; the contract commitment can be 6 months or 12 months.
Your outcomes are:
Following up on inbound leads via our website, through discussion understand the challenges they have around translation, multilingual content and engaging with their customers in different languages
Create opportunities for our Demo team to demonstrate the value of Smartcat.
Create new revenue opportunities at prospects through collaborative engagement
Cold call new leads and help create sales opportunities.
Excellent communication and management skills to interact with co-workers, cross-functional teams, and prospects.
Near Native-level fluency in English, both written and spoken
Near Native-level fluency in one or more of Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.
At least 3 years of experience in B2B sales or telemarketing.
Self-starter, positive, motivated and enthusiastic.
Willing to work from home, have own basic setup: computer, high-speed internet, microphone and camera for video-calls.
Readiness to work in a highly dynamic start-up environment, requiring extreme focus and persistence to breakthrough results
A strong sense of ownership
Openness to criticism and others’ opinions and ideas
