It’s less than two weeks left till the beginning of the inaugural Meet Central Europe conference in Budapest, Hungary. It’s a great opportunity to hear from the coolest speakers and to meet many CxOs and language professionals.
Just round the corner, Smartcat continues to organize its globetrotting series of Partner Days, and this could be a great chance for you to squeeze even more out of your stay in Budapest, both business- and fun-wise.
When and where should I come?
On Monday, October 29, 8.30 PM, embark on a boat trip with us along the Danube river to take in the most fascinating sights of the historical city of Budapest and rub shoulders with CxOs, peers, experts, and Smartcat partners in a friendly, fun setting while enjoying your favorite beverage. Food and drinks are on us.
What’s it all about?
Get ready for a boat trip with lots of interesting people to discuss the future of the translation industry — automation, business processes, and global collaboration — and how to use them to your benefit. The event will have an informal meetup format, with a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
We will be updating the list of attendees, but you can be sure to meet our own Chief Partnership Officer, Tolga Secilmis, and Head of Success, Alex Muntyan, as well as our longtime friend, Globalese CEO, Gábor Bessenyei.
Here’s some additional info on the speakers:
Tolga Secilmis, Chief Partnership Officer at Smartcat. Istanbul-based translation expert, public speaker and lecturer with 10-years experience, Tolga Secilmis is currently in charge of our partner relations. With 40+ companies from 23 countries having joined Smartcat as partners since April, it’s safe to say our partner network is growing at a swift and steady pace thanks to Tolga’s efforts. Feel free to get in touch with Tolga for details at the event if you’re interested in becoming a Smartcat partner.
Alex Muntyan, Head of Customer Success at Smartcat. Passionate about technology and people, Alex Muntyan is the Jedi of business processes automation. He has been in this field for more than seven years, helping a variety of organizations — from banks to media and scientific institutions — deploy technology and break new ground. At Smartcat, Alex’s mission is to move customers to help them hit their goals and grow their business by using the platform in the most impactful way.
Gábor Bessenyei, CEO at Globalese. With friends and partners like Gábor Bessenyei, it’s easy to envision a future where technology empowers human specialists in a meaningful way. As machine translation becomes an integral part of many translation workflows, Gábor goes one step further with Globalese to make it available not only as a standalone tool but also as an MT option within Smartcat’s CAT editor.
How do I get to the boat?
The boat trip will start at Dock 8A on Vigadó Square, Budapest.
If you are attending the GALA opening event in BMC, which ends at 8.30 PM, it will take you just a 20-minute sightseeing walk down the embankment in the company of other attendees, or one tram station (you can get the tickets from Smartcat for free at the venue).
Any food and drinks available at the event?
Certainly! We’ll have a variety of complimentary food & beverage options available.
Be sure to register to save your spot. Note that you do NOT need to be an MCE attendee to join us. We welcome anyone who wishes to discuss — and create — the future of our industry with us.
See you at MCE and the Smartcat Partner Day!
