Instead, jobs go searching for you. All you have to do is complete your profile, get good reviews from customers, and translate more of your own projects on Smartcat! (And never ignore an invitation — that’s a penalizing factor. If you can’t take it, just decline it.)

3. Free for both individuals and teams
Many think that Smartcat is free for freelancers but paid for companies. In reality, it is free for all! Unless you need some really special stuff like hosted installation or priority support, using Smartcat costs you nothing, regardless of the number of users, documents, translation memories, etc. This means that you can sign up with a corporate account and use all its amazing features at no cost. For example, you will be able to:
- Set several project stages, such as translation, editing, and proofreading.
- Work together with your friends in the same account using the world’s most powerful collaborative translation engine.
- Hire fellow freelancers from the marketplace and grow into a micro-LSP.
